I stuck with the gopro theme again today.  Using the wifi backpack and phone app, it was pretty easy to set up a self portrait.

Nothing too special about the subject, just needed something to test a lighting idea. 

The white shades are from an older project that never really ended.

Here are a some images of the family cat, Possum. We picked up the little fur ball about four years ago. He was a birthday present for my son. He was so cute and fun, but then he turned into a cat. He is not much of a lap cat either, he is too much of a butt head for that. He likes to bite if he is feeling ignored. He bites hard too.

This cat has also managed to kill almost every type of wild animal we have living in the neighborhood. Things like mice, rats, moles, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, snakes, birds and even bats... so yeah I guess you could consider him to be a good hunter (he's still a butt head though). 

The top left image gives you a small glimpse of his personality. 

He looks cute, but he's a mean kitteh.

I made few layout changes to the blog. 

The images had to be formatted really small using the previous template.
So far, I like what I'm seeing with the new tweaks.

a year later - white shades

I was digging through some old images and I came across this one. I shot this almost a year ago, but for some reason I overlooked it. This time around, it caught my attention and I ended up processing it for my white shades series.

Project photo number 26. This was a quick test shot using a chinese lantern as a light modifier. The quality of light was pretty sick. I'll use it again, fer sure.

Project photo number 25... I was setting up for a shoot I had the next morning and popped a few test exposures. I decided to use one of the tests as my image of the day. I ended up going a little strange with the processing too.

Project photo number 21. This was another one of those I needed a photo and didn't have much time to make it happen. My buddy in the photo was on a schedule, so we spent about 10 minutes grabbing the kid's bike from the basement and setting up the shot. A few frames later I was putting the lights away.

Project photo number 19. This shot was set up and executed pretty quickly. We were getting ready to eat dinner and needed the table. I spent a little bit of extra time processing this one. I was trying to create a cool/blue gray sort of look and it took some time playing to find the end result I was after. I'm digging what I came up with.

Project photo number 18. I'm pretty stoked that I've managed to make it this far into the month long project. There has definitely been a few days/nights I really wasn't into shooting anything. But for each of those not so feeling it moments, I managed to push through and ended up enjoying the time spent chasing an image.
