strange brew

Images that happen late at night are usually ones that come out a little strange.

I went to my first bike race of the season a couple of weekends ago. It was a very wet and muddy race in the Experimental Forest at Clemson. The morning of the race, it started to drizzle as I walked from the hotel to my truck. By the time I made it out of the parking lot it was a steady rain. It prettymuch poured aaall daaay long. It was my first trip down for one of the Clemson Freeride races and I was a little eeyored by the weather. I took very few photos throughout the day. It was just too wet to get out the camera gear, but it was still an enjoyable trip.

flash mod (stoked!)

I hard wired 1/8" mono plugs to three Vivitar 285 HV flashes.
Now I'm able to plug my vivitar flashes directly to my pocket wizards. I was having connection issues with the cables typically used. In short, this mod rocks.

I now have three, very solid, remote flashes (stoked!).

This was a quick test shot with the three flashes... It was hastily put together and the resulting image is whatever, but I was stoked to use the three modded remote flashes.

Well, so much for shooting an image a day for seven consecutive days. Getting sick put a bit of a kink in my plan. I feel a lot better today, so I'm going to pick up where I left off. I guess now I'll have to say it was seven images over the course of nine days. I'll post up today's image a little later.

Bummed. I'm fighting a cold and didn't get around to shooting anything for day four. I should of embraced the misery and shot something appropriately themed for my day of being out of sorts. Oh well.
