bread & milk

Oh no! There is snow in the forecast!

We must stock up on bread and milk!
Quick, to the store before they run out!


I took the point and shoot to the store for the weekly grocery trip. I strapped it to the grocery cart and pushed it around. It made shopping a little more fun and only a few people looked at me kinda funny.

Anyway, I was lucky. I beat the rush and
there was still plenty of milk and bread.

Quite some time ago I thought about doing an ABCs photo project... So yesterday morning I was standing in my kitchen and decided I would spend a few hours doing one. I wanted to do it a little differently than what I've seen before. Maybe I was being lazy, but I did not go out and about looking for letters. Instead all the letters I wanted to photograph had to come from one of the cabinets in my kitchen.

So, I put a small lightiing kit together and started pulling things out of the cabinet looking for the letters of the alphabet. Here are some of the results of my quirky little exercise.

after a rainy day

Early evening photos after a day of cold rain...

I needed to get out and shoot something that was sort of loose and free. I have recently been feeling a little too up-tight about the images i was trying to create and need to get out and get a little loose and free with what I was chasing. With this little series I was more or less riding down the road and decided to do some two to four second exposures. This is what i came up with...
